Sometimes I find myself saying something like "yeah Danganronpa may have some yikes moments but the mysteries are well constructed"
Then I remember that one of the murder mystery twists revolves around the fact that Celeste's last name just HAPPENS to be Yasuhiro
I'm very conflicted when it comes to the writing in Danganronpa because most of it is baaaaad but overall it somehow manages to create an incredibly tense atmosphere and it somehow all works as a psychological horror-ish experience on the macro scale
Danganronpa 2 spoilers
broke: the good part of danganronpa is the cool mysteries
woke: the good part of danganronpa is how nekomaru turns into a robot and he dispenses soda from his eyes and there's an action shot of an analog clock popping out of his chest
